Finally, there is no need to sit through a 5 to 9-megabyte download to install the free patches to our programs.  Now, you just download this utility one time, and it will check your programs and update you automatically.

Auto Update is compatible with and automatically updates:

• Breeder's Standard, all versions 4.0 and later.
• Cattery's Standard, all versions 2.0 and later.
• Equestrian's Standard 2000
• NETigree(tm), all versions
• Pedcasso(tm) all versions

It is easy to use.  Please follow the instructions below:

To install this download:

1. Click below to transfer the file to your computer. The file is named autoupd.exe. Make a note of what disk directory the file is in. The file must be 391,168 bytes long (in Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0, you may see 382KB).
2. Save this file to a convenient directory on your hard drive, where you can find it in the future.
3. Run Autoupd.exe. When you run this program, you will need to be connected to the internet, and you should have any of our programs you have turned off.  None of the programs except Auto Update should be running.
4. When Auto Update runs, you will be asked to click the Connect button.  Auto Update will get a very small file from us (under 30K), which contains information on the latest versions of the programs we offer.  It then checks your hard drive for these programs.
5. If the programs are up to date, Auto Update will tell you that and you are done.
6. If not, Auto Update will let you choose which programs to update, and then will automatically download the program updates and install them.  All you do is click GO and relax.  Auto Update is even designed to check the files are the right sizes, so it will not try to install an incomplete download.
